Overview

The relationship between Sales and Marketing executives has never been more intertwined. The role of the marketer has evolved within the last decade from a "throw spaghetti at the wall" approach to a measured marketing science that drives the bottom line. In order for marketers to effectively live up to these expectations, they need to be in sync with their sales counterpart. During this presentation, you'll learn how real life Sales and Marketing partners are working together on initiatives that not only support the bottom line but each other.

Biographies

Ali Sales Roach

In her recent role as Co-founder and President of Compendium Software, Ali was responsible for overall business operations. Under her leadership, the company scaled to 500+ clients in less than 3 years of product launch and was recognized as an "Indiana Company to Watch," a "MIRA Award" finalist, and one of BusinessWeek's most promising start-ups. In 2009, Ali was named an "IBJ 40 Under 40" recipient for her efforts at Compendium.

Prior to Compendium, Ali served as the Director of Marketing at ChaCha, a human-assisted search engine company. Additionally, she held positions within the online marketing departments of ExactTarget and Resort Condominiums International. Ali is currently a marketing consultant with local companies such as Bostech Corp, Jesubi, and FarmersMarket.com. She is an alum and board member of the Governor Bob Orr Entrepreneurial Fellowship, a program aimed at keeping young Indiana leaders within the state. Ali is a graduate of DePauw University's Management Fellows program, where she studied writing and economics.

Carson Goff, Sales Account Executive

Carson has over 8 years of sales experience with Fortune 1000 companies. Prior to his role at Bostech Corporation, he served as a sales executive for Paychex, providing integrated Payroll, HR, and Time and Attendance SaaS solutions. Prior to that, he was a sales manager for Cintas in their First Aid and Safety Division. Carson is also active in the non-profit community, serving on an advisory board for the Children's Bureau, heading up sponsorship development for Giving Sum, and mentoring a high school sophomore through the Starfish Initiative. He graduated from Miami University with a B.S. in Finance and Minor in Management Information Systems.
